Where to Stay in Busan

Busan has many beaches, so it helps to pick which beach you want to stay near first.

The vibe differs between Haeundae/Gwangalli and Songdo/Nampodong.

This post focuses on Songdo Beach in Seo-gu.

Seo-gu Songdo

Songdo Beach is Korea's first public beach, opened in 1913.

A marine cable car runs above the sea from Songnim Park on the east side of the beach to Amnam Park on the west.

Songdo Cloud Trails, a bridge leading into the sea, is also in front of the beach.

At Amnam Park, you can walk across the Songdo Yonggung Cloud Bridge leading to Dongseom Island.

The beach is cozier than Haeundae, making it great for a relaxing trip by the sea.

Elmomento Songdo Residence is a residence right in front of Songdo Beach.

Reviews mention that the cable car station is right under the building.

Many reviews say it's great to use the kitchen since all cooking utensils are provided.

Many guests liked the night view and ocean view.

Check-in is contactless without stopping by the front desk.

Check-in is after 16:00 and check-out is before 11:00.

Parking is available, and pets are not allowed.

Combining with Nampodong

Heading east from Songdo brings you to BIFF Square, the Nampodong theater district.

BIFF Square has a hand-printing street and food stalls selling flat dumplings and seed hotteok.

An itinerary touring Nampodong in the day and seeing Songdo Beach in the evening works well.

Getting to Busan

Taking the KTX gets you off at Busan Station, and you can transfer to a taxi or bus to reach Songdo.

If you fly, you arrive at Gimhae International Airport.

It is about 13km in a straight line from Elmomento Songdo Residence to Gimhae International Airport.

If you come by car, you can use the accommodation's parking lot.
